Image utility
Remove Image Metadata & EXIF Online
Strip targeted EXIF, XMP, IPTC and text metadata locally in your browser without uploading the image.
JPEG, PNG and WebP up to 25 MB
Privacy-focused metadata removal without re-encoding pixels
For supported JPEG, PNG and WebP files, P3 edits the image container locally and removes targeted privacy metadata while preserving image payloads wherever the format allows. This avoids the extra quality loss that can come from decoding and re-encoding a JPEG just to remove EXIF.
The current scope targets JPEG APP1 EXIF/XMP, APP13 IPTC/Photoshop metadata and comments; PNG EXIF and text metadata chunks; and WebP EXIF/XMP chunks. Color-management and rendering data is preserved by default.
Frequently asked questions
Does this remove GPS metadata?
GPS fields stored inside standard EXIF are removed when the containing EXIF metadata block is stripped. The tool does not claim to detect every proprietary metadata scheme.
Does the image get re-compressed?
The supported container-cleaning paths preserve the compressed image payload rather than re-encoding pixels. That helps avoid unnecessary quality loss.
